Exhibitor testimonials A+A 2019

Stefan Boltz, Deputy Head of Communication, Press Relations, DGUF Deutsche Gesetzliche Unfallversicherung, Berlin, Germany
One of the major and well-known exhibitors at A+A is the German Social Accident Insurance. It is not without reason that a great deal of effort is put into presenting the umbrella organization at the fair. Mr. Boltz explains the objectives: "In general, we advise companies in the area of occupational safety and prevention is a very important pillar. On our booth we offer points of reference for the different topics, such as a driving simulation or a separate area for lectures and service hours." The press spokesman adds: "We are participating in various industry events such as trade fairs for health topics, but A+A, as the world's leading trade fair for occupational safety and health, plays a particularly important role for us and our customers.
Hans-Peter Beck, Managing Partner, Greiff Mode GmbH & Co. KG, Bamberg, Germany
The exhibits on the stand of the German clothing manufacturer are modern and chic. Mr. Beck explains the challenges of being a workwear manufacturer: "In the past, for example, suits were just like an uniform. But nowadays, the standard of fit and comfort has grown and we want the wearer in our garments to feel comfortable and identify with the outfit. Despite the high quality materials, everything can be washed in the machine, which is essential for many companies." For the managing director, the fair is particularly important for international contacts. "Just this morning we had a meeting with an Australian business associate and it's nice to meet in person at least once a year."
Harald Morgenstern, Sales Director, Bimos (A Brand of Interstuhl Büromöbel GmbH), Meßstetten-Tieringen, Germany
The company from the Swabian Alb has been exhibiting at A+A for many years. In particular, the health and safety representatives of the companies and freelancers from the industry come to their booth to inform themselves about the ergonomic furniture. Mr. Morgenstern statss: "A+A is so important because of the many decision makers, they are responsible for the welfare of the workers and employees. We meet the actual users at other trade fairs." What is self-evident in the office sector in terms of prevention, is currently prevailing in the industrial sector, explains the sales manager: "Compared to the past industry workers are highly qualified and companies see healthy seating as an indispensable part of employee retention."
Tom Hedegaard Petersen, Sales Director, Engel, Haderslev, Denmark
The sales manager is very satisfied with the first day at A+A so far. He tells: "We had a lot of visitors at the booth and it was worth it for us to expand the area. This year we have the biggest stand ever." The Danish manufacturer of workwear for construction, crafts, industry and forest presents a wide range of functional garments. Mr. Hedegaard addresses another issue: "Sustainable production is very important to us ans our customers. We try to recycle materials and recycling is a strong trend in the textile industry in general."
Tanja Kenny, Marketing Manager Europe, Bullard GmbH, Remagen, Germany
Bullard is headquartered in America and has a long history. Ms. Kenny looks proudly into the past: "Bullard is the inventor of the classic construction helmet, and it was used in the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge. Before this invention workers had to be satisfied with leather rags." The 125-year-old and fifth-generation family business is a regular at A+A. But this year is going very well. The Marketing Managerin states: "Hall 1 has been redesigned this year for workwear and our stand is a great fit for the theme. We're excited to introduce our new EU certified products, like EVA respiratory protection with hoods of DuPontTM Tychem®."
Jürgen Freitag, Board Member, Chairman, BFSI (Federal Association of Freelance Safety Engineers and Intercompany Services), Much, Germany
Mr. Freitag begins the conversation:"The BFSI generally pursues the goal of offering a high-quality service in the area of occupational safety and health to the caring companies through the professional exchange of experience between the members and also joint training." The first day was relatively quiet, but the chairman is satisfied:"Today we had a lot of visitors, focusing on the topics of electromobility and safety and what aspects cities and towns should be aware of." In addition to A+A, the BFSI is also represented at other trade fairs. He says: "Here we spread our message broadly and in high frequency, to go later on the regional level in depth."
Roman Adler, Coach & Trainer Sales, Qualitrain, Berlin, Germany
The company Qualitrain has its origins in Bremen and for almost ten years has been a mediator between fitness and sports providers on the one hand and companies on the other. Mr. Adler says: "People are paying more and more attention to their health and wanting to be fit." Companies are about employee loyalty and costs. A day of absence is about 200-400 Euros and athletic people are less ill. We organize through our large network a flexible and efficient health service for each participant." At the A+A, the dedicated coach meets interested persons. He explains: "We speak with many decision makers here, but in the end our offer is good for everyone."
Thorsten Ritzmann, Head of Sales Germany, Rosenbauer, Karlsruhe, Germany
Rosenbauer is the known as a special manufacturer, who covers personal protective equipment for the fire department from head to toe. The headquarter is based in Austria and operates in about 130 countries worldwide. Mr. Ritzmann says: "Many people know us because we produce the Panther, which is a large-capacity vehicle for airport use. It is a kind of prestige property." However, this vehicle will not be exhibited on the A+A. The Sales Manager is focusing on another topic: "The stand mainly shows our protective clothing with everything that goes with it. We have many meetings with suppliers and potential customers. The location of A+A in Düsseldorf is therefore perfect, as German fire departments are important customers for us."
